Slowbiking has been developed by Dutch artist Kaspar König (left). He came up with the idea in 2006 when he was asked to participate in a game of slow cycling at the art academy in Beijing. He became the runner up and won a carton of milk. König developed the current easily accessible concept with improvising musicians and a referee who comments during the competition. He still regularly organises and presents Slowbiking events.

A lot of Cycle Fun freelancers, both from the Netherlands as well as from abroad, contribute to our events, be it as (bike) artist, moderator, musician, guide or project member.
